Praise GOD!!  Here's OOPS! under sail.  This was taken on the shake-down cruise to Corpus Christi.  Someone wanted to know who we kicked out of the boat to take the photo - it was Laurie!!!  If the truth be told, we were being rescued!!!

This is another view - showing the main and jib up.  The mainsail is tanbark - and when the sun is going down, it appears to be the same color as the trim on the boat!!  The jib in this picture is nearly  the size of a genoa - and I have since gotten a smaller jib to use.

These photos were taken on the shake-down to Corpus from Rockport.  During this trip - we had engine problems and steering problems!!  We had to be towed into a berth in Corpus, and hauled out again!!!  My friend, Earl, came to Aransas to rescue us and to tow us back to Rockport.  As we were nearing Rockport, Earl and Laurie were in his boat - partying!!  And we were towed onto a sandbar!!!  After all attempts failed to get her off - we made attempts over the next few days to free her - to no avail!!  Finally, we checked when the highest tide would be, and embarked on a cold morning about 4 AM!!  Luckily, we did get my baby back to Rockport - no worse for wear!!!
